About
Dany DuBois BACP reg.,
In 2002, after completing a BA Philosophy degree, I trained for four years as an Existential Psychotherapist and Counsellor MA, then did a Psychology Post Grad Diploma. I have also undertaken a certificate in Integrative Supervision and have a certificate in Gestalt Adolescent Psychotherapy.

I have been seeing clients for one to one psychotherapy for 16 years and have had a private practice for 14 years. Having a 50 minute session once a week is usually found to be the most useful way to engage with therapy, as it is important to keep issues and new realisations in mind, to maintain momentum and change.

As I do not specialise in clients with only certain difficulties, I have been privileged to work with people with wide ranging issues, and anyone is welcome to contact me with a view to beginning therapy. Whatever you are struggling with, how you are managing will be related to coping strategies that you created when you were a child. We are very likely to think together about these survival strategies and see if they are still useful today, or if we need to find new ways for you to be.

My qualifications and experience are listed below, which include roles as a visiting lecturer at Regent's University in the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology; leading the BUPA Wellness Trauma Support team, including training BUPA counselling staff; working with teenagers in children's care homes and training staff in therapeutic interventions; and supervising trainee psychotherapists and counselling psychologists at MIND and the Claremont Project, London.
